All clients value different things in an IT company. For myself, I value responsiveness most of all. I want to know that when I call or email my IT company, I will get a response from a real person pretty darn quickly. In my opinion, if you hire a call center IT department, you will get an email response just to let you know that they got your email and/or endure a series of telephone prompts before you actually talk to a real person about your problem. I have no patience for that. I want to know that they are working on my problem or if they can’t work on it immediately, when they expect to have the problem fixed.
The second attribute I value is honesty. Don’t lie to me and run me around with fake fixes that do not improve our systems for the future. I want my IT company to be invested in how well my business runs. I want my relationship with the IT company to be mutually beneficial. If we make money, they make money.
Thirdly, my time is valuable. I do not like when my computer systems are down. A good IT company will fix problems outside of business hours so that their clients can continue to work and so that the business can make deadlines and ultimately make money.
